Travelling Tokyo: The Trip & Tips

Sunday, February 19, 2017

Recently I just got home from a five-day trip to Tokyo, Japan. It was a very enriching trip, as I got to see new places and different people. I was always in awe wherever we went. In this blog post I'll
share with you the many places we got to go to, and a few tips about anything. At the end of this post, there will be a video of the entire trip.

The first day was all about getting to the Hotel after a tiring airplane ride. Since the taxi in Japan is "quite" expensive, we used a Limousine bus service to reach Tokyo, and from there we rode the train going to Shin-urayasu.

The next day we went to Tokyo DisneySea, since it's the only DisneySea in existence. It reminded me a little bit of childhood, and people would say "its Disney, its meant for kids" but not really, I had fun, which I needed lately. Arriving here early is very important if you want to maximize your 1-day pass.

For our third day, we explored the urban streets of Tokyo. Its very crucial for you to think about everything before diving into something. So make sure you already figured out the places you'll go to and how to get there.

On our fourth day, we went to Gala Yuzawa Snow Resort. We got to ride the Max Tanigawa Shinkansen (Bullet Train). It looked like a plane that lost its wings. When we got to the snow resort, it was very very cold, freezing to be exact. In order to survive the extreme weather, you will need layers of clothing, a pair of gloves, a scarf, a pair of earmuffs, and a comfortable pair of jeans/sweatpants that you think can handle the almost negative temperature of the winter wonderland. You don't have to worry about your shoes, since the snow resort would be providing footwear.

On our last day, since our flight was at 11:00 AM we left the hotel at around 6:30 AM to reach the Narita Express at Tokyo Station which was leaving at 8:00 AM. Since the hotel was a bit far from the Tokyo station we had to move quick, and gladly we made it in time for a flight back home.
